Metro Cable

Metro Cable

A great way to get an overview of the city, a ride on the metro cable also makes an inexpensive day trip. And I mean inexpensive as for only 75 cents you can get a round trip ride anywhere in the city. Be careful getting off as some of the upper barrios can be dangerous at times. But there is a brand new state of the art library at the Santa Domingo stop that nicely shows the revitalization of Medellin.

The metro cable cars are actually used for daily transportation. The hillside barrios were very poor and disenfranchised from the city. The cable cars allow the people from those barrios to get into the city more quickly and easily.
